Gruet Winery

During a trip to the Southwest in the 1980's successful champagne producer Gilbert Gruet realized the winemaking potential of New Mexico and decided to try his luck. Located at 4300 feet above sea level, low overnight temperatures fully cool the fruit following the day's heat, while low humidity prevents rot, meaning pesticides and fungicides are not needed. Gruet Winery produces stellar Methode Champenoise sparkling wines that are truly a reflection of the Gruet family's Champagne roots.
