The delicacy of a white wine by Cos D’Estournel

After the creation of the Cos D'Estournel White in 2005, the prestigious Grand Cru Classe of Saint-Estephe - Chateau Cos D’Estournel – has produced the very first vintage of its Pagodes Cos White.

The Pagodes de Cos White 2018 comes from a great terroir located north of the Medoc, on the left bank of Bordeaux. The vines enjoy a privileged location, close to the Gironde Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, which ensures a constant ventilation and good thermal regulation. The Pagodes de Cos White 2018 is made from an assemblage of old vines, aged 34 years old on average.

Produced in the Bordeaux Blanc Sec appellation, the Pagodes de Cos White 2018 offers a magnificent expression of the Medoc terroir. Intensely aromatic, the bouquet seduces with its floral notes and citrus. The wine wraps the palate with its exquisite freshness and the richness of its flavors. With its polished yet dense texture and freshness, the Pagodes de Cos White 2018 is a fantastic white wine that can already be appreciated in the brightness of its youth.

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
A blend of 93% Sauvignon Blanc and 7% Sémillon aging in 3% new barriques, the 2018 Pagodes de Cos Blanc (13.67% alcohol) opens with notes of lemon curd, lime cordial and fresh white grapefruit with touches of fresh hay, chalk dust and honeysuckle. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers bold freshness and loads of citrus fruit layers with a lovely chalkiness to the long finish.
