In spite of the episodes of frost that hit the Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou vineyard, the climatic conditions that followed made it possible for the fruit to achieve an excellent phenolic potential and perfect ripeness in time for the harvest.

Made from a blend dominated by Merlot (58%) and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (39%) and Petit Verdot (3%), the La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou 2017 presents a vibrant, intensely fruity profile. This wine charms the taster immediately with its dark purple color and black core. The wine displays a beautiful bouquet, revealing pure aromas of blackcurrant and ripe plum, punctuated with notes of black cherry liquor. Swirling the glass reveals notes of freshly cut tobacco leaves and roasted aromas, reminiscent of delicious chocolate and coffee beans. Powerful and perfectly structured, the palate delivers with elegance and a perfect tannin-acidity balance, while the finish offers a generous length, punctuated with notes of small red fruits.
