With bottles from Beaujolais, Rhone Valley and Sancerre in the Loire Valley, this selection features wines that stand out for their typical expression of their terroirs of origin.
The Millesima team has chosen to include in our France Discovery Wine Gift Set wines from three traditional regions across the country. Each wine represents traditional styles that are the staples of each region. These wines range from fruit-forward and food-friendly Gamay, to bold, spicy Syrah and elegant, refined Sancerre.
The France Discovery Wine Gift Set contains three unique bottles from well-known producers : La Demoiselle de Sociando Mallet is the second wine of Chateau Sociando Mallet from the appellation Haut-Medoc in Bordeaux ; Jean-Louis Chave is a pillar of the Northern Rhone Valley ; and Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy produces beautiful mineral-driven and wonderfully concentrated wines from old vines.
La Demoiselle de Sociando Mallet 2016
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot – Haut-Medoc
La Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet is the second wine of Château Sociando-Mallet. It is made with grapes from two types of plots: the youngest plots of the estate and those with soils containing more clay. This Demoiselle seduces with its straight-forward character, its fruit and its roundness. A more accessible Haut-Médoc to be enjoyed in its youth, within 10 years of its vintage.

Syrah – Rhone Valley
The Chave family produces wines that offers a genuine expression of terroir, vintage and grape variety in the glass. This family of winemakers has been working in the Rhone Valley since 1481. For this vintage of their Crozes-Hermitage "Silène", the grapes chosen came from the granite hillsides of Larnage and Gervans. The grapes are then vinified with indigenous yeasts in steel barrels and vats. On the nose, we find notes of cherry, peony and spices. The palate is generous, with a beautiful balance.
Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy Terre de Maimbray 2020
Pinot Noir – Loire Valley
Domaine Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy is located in one of the most famous Sancerre villages in Loire Valley. Terre de Maimbray is mastery in red, built on ripe red fruit aromas. A Sancerre full of delicacy and finesse, with a velvety texture. The palate is elegant and the tannins fine and precise. A beautiful bottle to share!
