Domaine Weinbach : Les Vignes du Prêcheur 2023

Round and full on the palate, with just a tiny touch of sweetness, this offers a zesty mix of orange rind, peach and papaya spiked with pungent herbs and pine. There’s an open-knit feel to the finish, reined in with crushed flint. Riesling, Auxerrois, Pinot Gris, Muscat and Sylvaner. Drink now. 1,540 cases made, 500 cases imported.

Wonderfully juicy and grapey, with excellent balance of peachy fruit, restrained creaminess, elegant acidity and fine tannins on the medium-bodied palate. A co-fermentation based on riesling with auxerrois, pinot gris, sylvaner and muscat. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Les Vignes du Précheur is a co-ferment of 40% Riesling and 30% Auxerrois, with Pinot Gris, Sylvaner and Muscat. This was made in foudres. An elderflower aroma is tender on the nose and comes with pear and lemony tones. It is juicy, bone-dry and oh-so crunchy. With its bright and slender body, the 2023 really does make the mouth water.
