The Lune d’Or is an exceptional wine from Domaine Clos des Lunes produced in very limited quantities. It is the fruit of the ambition of Olivier Bernard and his family, owners of Domaine de Chevalier in Leognan, which produces one of the greatest white wines in the world. From a rigorous selection of the best berries from Semillon (67%) and Sauvignon Blanc (33%), the Lune d’Or 2016 reveals the quintessence of the expression of the great terroirs of Sauternes in a white wine produced in the Bordeaux Dry White appellation.

The Lune d’Or 2016 charms at first sight with its pale color and bright green hues. The intense and concentrated aromas highlight the complex bouquet that opens with fresh white-flesh fruit and citrus notes. It then evolves with aeration to give delicate floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle. On the palate, the mouth is enveloped with a tasty, rich, dense texture that is perfectly balanced with a tension that extends to the finish.
