A 4th Classified Growth from Saint-Julien
4th Classified Growth from Saint-Julien, Chateau Talbot transcends the intrinsic qualities of the 2016 vintage.
Chateau Talbot 2016 has a very dark, ink-like color. Initially the aromas are not very expressive, due to its high density. After aeration, delicate floral fragrances are embellished with fruity aromas. Fragrances of blackberries and black figs with slight notes of balsamic reveal themselves. The wine gradually opens up. The mouth has a sensual and precise attack. The tannic structure is refined on beautiful tannins. The wine is suave, without overbearing tannins. The finish is palatable. On the whole, Talbot 2016 is balanced and charming with a healthy dose of power.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2016 Talbot is medium garnet-purple colored and opens with pretty floral notes of roses and lavender with a core of cassis, blackberry preserves and kirsch plus wafts of cigar box and spearmint. Medium-bodied with a lovely intensity of black and red fruit flavors, it has a ripe, grainy texture and compelling freshness, finishing savory.
