Description

The character and elegance of a Saint-Julien red wine

The estate

Château Moulin de La Rose owes its name to an old 18th-century mill on the château's present site. Nestling among the Grand Cru Classés of Saint-Julien, Moulin de La Rose reveals one of the finest expressions of this terroir.

The vineyard

Château Moulin de La Rose 2022 is a Saint-Julien wine made from 5.15 hectares of vines planted on Garonne gravel, with an average age of 35 years.

Winemaking and ageing

Hand-picked, the grapes are sorted in the vineyard before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Vatting lasts around 3 weeks. The wine is aged in barrels (30% new) for 20 months, with 7 rackings.

Grape varieties

Château Moulin de la Rose 2022 comes from a vineyard composed of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%).
