The vineyard
The 20-hectare vineyard of Chateau Francs Magnus is planted in clay-limestone soils upon an important limestone plateau.
The winemaking
Sorting not followed by crushing to preserve the fruit. Daily pump-overs and punch-downs.
The aging
12 to 14 months. French oak barrels (40 to 30% new, depending on the tannins).
The blend
Merlot (90%), cabernet franc (10%).
