The vineyard is planted on a limestone plateau covered with a thin layer of clay. This limestone terroir, similar to that of Saint-Emilion, contributes a certain minerality and elegance to wines.
The Chateau Francs Magnus 2018 is made with the greatest respect for both terroir and fruit. The vinification took place without crushing the berries, in order to preserve the freshness of the fruit. Frustoconical stainless steel tanks were used to make possible a smooth extraction of tannins and give the wine great elegance.
