The unique features of a red wine from Pomerol
The estate
Owned by the Chasseuil family since 2000, Chateau Feytit-Clinet is a benchmark of the Pomerol appellation, situated on the right bank of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
Chateau Feytit-Clinet 2021 is a Pomerol wine made from a 6-hectare vineyard whose vines are 33 years old on average.
Vinification and aging
Harvesting from September 27th to October 9th. Vinification in concrete vats. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 3 days at 10°C. Total maceration of 3 to 4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aged on lees for 2 months before 16 months in oak barrels (70% new and 30% second-fill barrels).
The blend
Chateau Feytit-Clinet 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
