Description
A fruity and elegant Bordeaux red wine
The estate
Established for over 700 years in the Bordeaux vineyards, the origins of the de Tastes family date back to 1342. Today, Guillaume de Tastes is in charge of making the family's terroir shine. Produced in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, the wines of Château Beaulieu Comtes de Tastes express all the typicality of a red wine from the Bordeaux region.
The vineyard
Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château Beaulieu Comtes de Tastes watches over a 20-hectare terroir whose clay-limestone plateau leads to the production of great Bordeaux Supérieur wines.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted successively during the harvest and after destemming. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled vats precedes a vatting period of 3 to 5 weeks, including 3 to 5 days of cold maceration, along with daily punching down and pumping over. The wine is aged for 10 months on fine lees in French oak barrels.
The blend
Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Sauvignon.
