The estate
For over 250 years, Weingut Dönnhoff has nurtured a unique terroir of precipitous slopes along the Nahe’s banks. Vintage after vintage, Helmut Dönnhoff crafts great German wines from a mosaic of sites, conveying the complexity, purity and myriad nuances of Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. Acclaimed across borders as among the world’s greatest white wines, Weingut Dönnhoff’s cuvées captivate with their elegance, aromatic richness, freshness and an exceptional minerality that blossoms after many decades of aging.
The vineyard
Spanning 25 hectares, Weingut Dönnhoff’s holdings are distinguished by a diversity of soils and exposures, offering ideal conditions for the grapes to reach optimal ripeness. Farmed with meticulous care, vines between 20 and 70 years old yield superb German wines in low quantities but of very high quality.
