Alkoomi
Alkoomi is located at the southern tip of the state of Western Australia, in the Frankland River District. They are one of the largest family owned wine producers in Western Australia. Their first vines were planted in 1971, and five years later they produced their first wine. The climate at Alkoomi is similar to that of Bordeaux, France, and the grapes benefit from the fresh sea breezes as a result of their proximity to the shore. The name Alkoomi comes from an aboriginal dialect and translates to"A place we chose".
