Château Doisy-Daëne 2024

A nose with depth and complexity, smoky notes over ripe citrus, exotic fruits, almond blossoms; on the palate, breed and freshness, dancingly light, full of tension and energy, every element in its place, excellent length. No longer an insider tip, but certainly worth every franc.

Cloudy yellow-gold colour in appearance. The nose is bursting with tropical notes of yellow mango, ripe pineapple, and candied citrus, layered with spicy ginger, vanilla oak, and botrytis richness. Lusciously sweet yet vibrant, with high acidity balancing the opulence. 140 g/l residual sugar.

75% Sémillon, 25% Sauvignon Blanc. Cask sample. Pale gold. Marmalade notes. Zesty and fruity with sweetness and adequate concentration. Botrytis evident but there’s a freshness and ease of access as well. (JL)

Flowers, orange, vanilla, honey-topped apricots, oranges, and toast aromas emerge in the bouquet. On the palate, the wine quickly focuses you on its energetic, racy, candied yellow citrus, with hints of roasted oranges that appear on the back end of the finish. Drink from 2027-2047. 92-94 pts

Candied orange zest, soft dried apricot, the first flowers of spring (snowdrops and daffodils): the bouquet, fresh and cheerful, reveals a lovely complexity. Rich and hedonistic, concentrated, very creamy, the palate unveils notes of apricot, lemon juice, and dried fruits.
