An elegant Lalande de Pomerol wine with a beautiful structure
The property
Founded in 1390, the Château des Annereaux is a family-owned vineyard located in Lalande-de-Pomerol, on the right bank of Bordeaux. Since 2013, Benjamin Hessel has been managing the estate, continuing a centuries-old family tradition while integrating modern and sustainable practices. Certified organic since 2010 and B Corp in 2023, the château stands out for its ecological commitment and historical heritage.
The vineyard
The vineyard of Château des Annereaux extends over 22.70 hectares in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. It benefits from a gravelly-sandy terroir particularly favorable to the expression of Bordeaux grape varieties. Cultivated according to the principles of organic farming with Ecocert certification, this vineyard testifies to the environmental commitment of the estate. This respectful approach to nature allows for the production of high-quality grapes with a beautiful aromatic expression.
Vinification and aging
After a manual harvest and meticulous sorting, the grapes were vinified by plot to preserve the typicity of each terroir. The aging continued for 12 months in barrels, 25% of which were new wood, allowing the wine to develop its structure and complexity while preserving the fruit and freshness characteristic of the estate.
Grape varieties
This Château des Annereaux 2024 This wine is the result of a blend of 70% Merlot, providing roundness and fruitiness, complemented by 30% Cabernet Sauvignon which gives structure and aging potential.
