Fronsac counts among its great ambassadors the Château de La Dauphine, a reinvigorated estate with great dynamism. The Dauphine 2010 is a fabulous vintage, and one of the great successes of the appellation and the Right Bank. The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is very expressive, even if it is dense without revealing all its aromatic palate. There are some notes of forest floor that perfume the wine. These are tertiary notes, and show that the wine is evolving. On the palate, this Fronsac is quite supple, very elegant, perfectly balanced. The finish is persistent, and offers fleshy black fruit. A tasty wine with a good aging capacity.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
An attractive cranberry and mulberry-like fruitiness with hints of underbrush and damp earth permeates this medium-bodied, stylish, mid-weight wine. Dark ruby, it is soft enough to be consumed over the next 5-6 years, but seems to have adequate stuffing to possibly last longer.
