Description

The tension of a fine white wine from Graves with notes of citrus

The estate
Founded in 1966, Chateau de Chantegrive is part of the Union of Grands Crus of Bordeaux. This forward-thinking family property in Graves is managed with passion and precision, producing beautiful wines representative of the Bordeaux region. The Caroline cuvée 2019 is the white wine of Chateau de Chantegrive.

The vineyard
The vines dedicated to the production of Caroline du Chateau de Chantegrive represent 15 hectares of vineyard land planted in gravel, rolled pebbles and fine sand on clay-limestone soils.

The winemaking
Harvest from August 27 to September 21. 12 hours cold skin-maceration. Pneumatic pressing. Selection of juices. 24 hour static cold settling. Stabilization of the juices for 15 days. Fermentation in barrels between 18 ° and 20 ° C.

The aging
9 months of aging in barrels. 50% new French oak barrels. Regular stirring of the lees.

The blend
Sémillon (50%), sauvignon blanc (45%), sauvignon gris (5%).

The tasting
Tasted as a wine future, the Caroline de Chateau de Chantegrive 2019 is a white wine from Graves with strong, tight aromas, reminiscent of citrus.
