Description
A « frizzante » Moscato with ripe pear and melon aromas
The producer
Bartenura is a kosher wine manufacturer whose name comes from 15th century Italian rabbi Rabbi Ovadia ben Avraham of Bertinoro. The wines are sourced from the Provincia di Pavia region of Italy and have been hugely successful among wine lovers.
The wine
Easily recognizable for its vibrant packaging, which has earned it the nickname « Blue Bottle Moscato, » Bartenura Moscato was actually the very first wine to be sold in a blue glass bottle. This is a kosher wine, slightly effervescent and sweet, meant to be enjoyed in its youth as an every-day wine.
The blend
The Bartenura Moscato is made with 100% Moscato grapes.
The tasting
Color
This effervescent « frizzante » Moscato wine reveals in the glass a pale straw yellow color and plenty of bubbles.
Nose
On the nose, it reveals crisp and sweet aromas of melons and ripe pears, along with wildflower fragrances and touches of honey.
Palate
In line with the aromatic bouquet, the palate offers sweet flavors of sweet agave, pears and melons.
Serving
This wine is meant to be enjoyed in its youth. We suggest serving it chilled to 40 to 45° Fahrenheit.
Food and wine pairing
This Moscato will pair nicely with a fresh fruit salad or fruit-based desserts.
