A Versatile White Blend from Long Island
The 2016 Vino Bianco vintage is made from 36%
Pinot Grigio, 26%
Sauvignon Blanc, 15%
Tocai Friulano and 23%
Chardonnay. This wine bursts with aromas and flavors of citrus, green apples, flowers, peaches and lemon. It was first made in 2001 and was the
first white blend from the
Long Island region of
New York. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately, then blended together. The grapes are fermented and aged for
11 months on lees. This wine
pairs wonderfully with
fish and
shellfish dishes, while it is also an
excellent match for
poultry,
veal and
pork with its complexity and fuller body.
