Mâcon-Verzé is an appellation of the Village of Mâconnais classification, spread over an area of more than 50 hectares, exclusively within the commune of Verzé. The vines are planted in homogeneous soils, made of clay-limestone and chalky white limestone. The Mâcon-Verzé appellation produces white, red and rosé wines. The reds tend to be powerful and fleshy. They tend to soften as they age, while also maintaining their structure. The Chardonnay whites of the Mâcon-Verzé appellation offer plenty of freshness and are dry, fruity, concentrated, round and sweet.
