Medoc

When we speak of Medoc, we naturally mean the entire peninsula, but the term is also used to refer to the “Left Bank” of Bordeaux. The variety of soils in the Medoc is important: Garonne gravel, clay, limestone and marine sediments give the wine special and unique characteristics. Medoc wines are usually full-bodied, round, and a beautiful ruby red color. Their balanced tannic structure, elegance and the subtlety of their enchanting bouquet give the wines a legendary finesse. Merlot represents more than a third of the Médoc region and is completed by Cabernet Sauvignon.
