Description
The vineyards of Punta Crena are managed by the Ruffino family, with wine making roots dating back over 500 years. The Ruffino family exclusively works with local varietals, staying true to their traditional winemaking philosophies and techniques. The Punta Crena is made from 100% Crovino, probably the only producer who still produces this grape because of its tiny yields. The Punta Crena Cruvin comes from only 0.8 hectares of vines averaging 30 years of age with soils of sandy gravel. Vinified in stainless steel tanks and only four months on the lees, the Punta Crena Cruvin offers pure and focused fruit on the nose. Medium bodied and intensely flavored, enjoy this summer red with grilled chicken or mild cheeses.
