Pouilly-Vinzelles is an appellation of the Village of Mâconnais classification, spread over more than 40 hectares shared by the communes of Loché and Vinzelles. The vines of the Pouilly-Vinzelles appellation are planted in ferruginous clay-limestone soils, at between 200 and 250 meters of altitude on average. The wines produced in Pouilly-Vinzelles are exclusively white Chardonnay wines. They have a pale gold color that becomes darker as they age. Peaches, apricots and citrus fruits can be detected in their youth, which then give way to notes of dried fruit, honey, cooked fruit and toast. The wines of the Pouilly-Vinzelles appellation display amplitude and a wonderful balance between fat and minerality.
