Description
Fifth Growth Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste’s second label, the 2008 Lacoste Borie is a blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon and 31% Merlot. The grapes are exclusively hand harvested with a three week maceration period followed by 14-16 month ageing in French oak barrels (30% new). This is a classic example of a medium bodied and crisp Pauillac from a vintage that is good for early drinking. A musky masculine appeal and minerality lead with this wine, combine with dark fruit, sour cherry, smoke. Round and elegant. A great value Bordeaux!
