Description
The Complexity and Freshness of a Great White Wine from Pessac-Leognan
A Grand Cru Classe de Graves, which has become a point of reference in the Pessac-Leognan appellation, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte is one of the greatest names in the Bordeaux region.
Led by Daniel and Florence Cathiard, this estate, often nicknamed "More Graves than Gravas," has reached the very top in the level of quality. The sumptuous terroir of Gunz gravel gives the wines of Smith Haut Lafitte a freshness, liveliness and density, revealing smoky notes typical of this gravel soil.
The 2017 vintage was particularly flattering for the white wines of Bordeaux, and the Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2017 white triumphs through its beauty and freshness, made possible by the profound know-how and precision of the technical teams.
Containing a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (90%), supplemented by Semillon (5%) and Sauvignon Gris (5%), the Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2017 dazzles with its great personality, a wine that is both complex and elegant. With a certain concentration and the density of the delicately polished texture, the vintage displays a fabulous freshness in the mouth and unfolds, very precise, into an impressive length. One of the greatest successes of the vintage for both the red and white.
