Description
A powerful and harmonious red wine from Saint-Estèphe
A 4ème cru classé produced in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Lafon-Rochet profits from a vineyard of 45 hectares. Aged 36 years, on average, the vines benefit from a terroir composed of deep gravel and gravel on clay. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (50% of which is new) for an average of 16 to 18 months. The Château Lafon-Rochet 2012 blends 67.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 1.5% Petit Verdot.
The Château Lafon-Rochet 2012 is powerful, developing a fresh and elegant nose. The attack in the mouth is energetic, offering spicy flavors on the mid-palate and proving cozy during the finish. A wine combining harmony and power, with good potential for aging. Wait until at least 2025 before opening it (tasted in 2015 by the estate).
