A Fruity and Floral White Blend from Lebanon

Founded by the visionary Michel de Bustros in 1979, the Chateau Kefraya estate spans over 300 hectares of vineyards planted on the terraced slopes of Mount Barouk in the region of Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. The diverse mosaic of micro-terroirs make possible the cultivation of a wide range of varietals on vineyards that are managed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture and with minimal intervention. An avid enthusiast of painting and opera, Bustros believed in the art of the composition as creating a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The wines of Chateau Kefraya are made with this core principle in mind, by blending a range of varietals and terroirs to achieve great complexity. The Blanc de Blanc 2015 from Chateau Kefraya blends Viognier, Chardonnay and Muscat a Petits Grains.

In the glass, the Blanc de Blanc 2015 from Chateau Kefraya displays a beautiful pale yellow color. The aromatic bouquet is very rich, fresh and elegant, opening with fruity notes of pineapple, peach and grapefruit, complemented by floral fragrances of acacia and lilies, along with a touch of spice. On the palate, the wine reveals honey, apricot and mango and that unique character of a wine that has been matured on its lees. This white blend from Lebanon achieves a beautiful harmony and a great balance, simultaneously fresh and mellow. Following a back-palate that offers herbal notes, the finish is long, generous and very elegant.
