Description
A Luscious Napa Valley Cabernet with a Mesmerizing Finish
BOND Estates was founded by legendary Napa Valley vintner Bill Harlan and its first vintage produced in 1997 at the famous Harlan Estates. Three years later, the BOND winery was constructed, dedicated to the wines of this celebrated brand. The BOND portfolio now includes five unique single-vineyard, single-variety Cabernet Sauvignon wines, each one offering a genuine expression of its distinctive microterroir of origin in Napa Valley. The St. Eden 2013 of BOND is a single-variety red wine made with Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested from the St. Eden vineyard. The vines here face north and grow in iron-rich, red, rocky soils at elevations between 145 and 188 feet above sea level. Wines from St. Eden are known for their great precision, lush concentration of aromas and flavors, and high acidity despite a relatively low vineyard elevation.
The highly-acclaimed BOND St. Eden 2013 exudes on the nose extravagant aromas of blackcurrant liqueur, blackberries, crushed raspberries and boysenberries, along with hints of dark chocolate, spicy licorice and graphite. A focused and fruit-driven palate is coated with seductively velvety, smooth tannins, a full-bodied personality persistently displayed. The finish is marvellous, pouring forth earthy, luscious flavors of exotic fruit. A wine that can certainly be tasted now, but will be even more enjoyable in 6 years and will last until 2030- 2050.
