Situated along the Dordogne, Canon-Fronsac benefits of the same soils as Fronsac. The smallest appellation of Bordeaux wines only covers 2 villages -Fronsac and Saint-Michel de Fronsac- where 47 winemakers are involved transforming the grapes, grown on clayey and limestone soils, into elegant wines. On the plateau, the vineyards commonly take advantages of the “calcaire à astéries” soils while riverside vines growth on the famous Fronsadais molasses.
