Made from 100% Trousseau Gris grown in the Fannuchi Wood Road vineyard in California s Russian River Valley, this is a vibrant, intense white that combines freshness, intensity of fruit, and minerality. Fermented with only natural yeasts in concrete egg vats and aged in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak, the Wind Gap Trousseau Gris is wholecluster pressed and incredibly lively. Once widely planted in California and marketed inexplicably under the name Grey Riesling Trousseau Gris plantings are now extremely limited, but the 30 something year old vines that go into the Wind Gap bottling from the Fannuchi Wood Road Vineyard make a strong argument that more ought to be planted.
