Chateau Haut-Marbuzet video

Is the history of chateau Haut-Marbuzet something of a miracle devised by destiny? According to the current owner, the charming Henri Duboscq -- a wine and vineyard aesthete and poet -- nothing is more certain. To understand the history of this renowned cru wine, it is essential to imagine this property as the largest estate in Médoc in the 19th century under the Marbuzet name, 70 hectares of vineyards were owned in 1815 by an Irish family, the McCarthys. Haut-Marbuzet was the result of a plot of 7 hectares. The estate was being divided to facilitate its resale by ploughmen of the hamlet of Marbuzet. In 1952, Hervé Duboscq patiently acquired it through annuity. Since 1998, Henri Duboscq has been perpetuating his love for this gravelly soil, a treasure for the cru wine that has been reproduced over two generations. The wine borne from these parcels is an exquisite nectar with great modesty.
