Chateau Angélus video
Defining the Angélus nectar as a wine of a crystal-clear purity truly is an understatement. In the hands of the de Boüard de Laforest family, this Premier Cru Classé 'B' has mastered the art of making itself famous. Its own name comes from the angelus the winegrowers used to hear simultaneously from three churches around and in the heart of the famous medieval town of Saint-Emilion. For connoisseurs from all over the world Angélus is counting among the most beautiful classified jewels of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation and as the true star of its classification, the 'Categorie B'. Angélus remains above all the finest expression of the winegrowing passion of Hubert de Boüard and Jean-Bernard Grenié as well as the skilful blend of a two-headed terroir (clayey-calcareous and clayey-sandy-calcareous) located on gentle slopes. Know-how, demanding expertise and endless passion in merlot and cabernet-franc do the rest. The Angélus and the Carillon de l'Angélus testify of a great workmanship.
