Description
In 1997 Viña Errázuriz planted the La Escultura Vineyard in the Valle de Casablanca. Located only twenty miles from the Pacific Ocean, it was decided that the cooler climate in this vineyard compared to those more inland would be best suited for Chardonnay. It is here that the Viña Errázuriz Chardonnay Wild Ferment was born. The name Wild Ferment refers to the use of all natural yeasts during fermentation, which imparts more complexity to the final product. The wine then sees 10 months in French oak prior to bottling. Tropical fruit and mineral notes combine with toast and brioche on the Viña Errázuriz Chardonnay Wild Ferment. This lush wine is well balanced with a zingy acidity.
