Description
This Côte-Rôtie is 100% Serine, the Northern Rhone clone of Syrah, from 60 year old vines in the Cote Brune. A terroir driven wine, this wine spends 12 months in new barrels made from oak sourced from the Troncais, and then aged another 12 months in foudre. From granite soils, this wine is concentrated and structured, with smokey black and blue fruits, herbal notes of licorice and black pepper spice, violet, olive brine and a deep minerality. Medium to full bodied with a long finish and ripe subtle tannin.
