Reunion : Bonarda 2010

Out of the RJ Vinedos winery come the Reunión Bonarda. The Bonarda grapes going into this wine come from a single vineyard in the sub-region of Alto Agrelo in the Lujan de Cuyo area of Mendoza, Argentina. It is in the vineyard where some of the most important steps are taken to craft this wine. Sustainable farming and the lack of chemical use allow for purity in the fruit with a true expression of terroir. These steps are followed by an aging process designed to highlight the fruit. Only fifteen percent of the wine is aged in second and third use oak for a period of 6 months. The dark purple Reunión Bonarda is full of dark berry and currant notes. The palate is round and soft with subtle notes of white chocolate and tobacco giving way to a balanced finish.
