With its 33 hectares of vineyards, Chateau Troplong Mondot is considered a "large" estate in Saint-Emilion and enjoys an exceptional orientation on the “Mondot” hill. Located south-east of the Saint-Emilion plateau on a steep hillside, the Chateau’s vineyards are planted with 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The excellent clay-limestone soil of Troplong Mondot creates wines that are powerful with structured tannins that are detailed and complex. Chateau Troplong Mondot wines flourish with time, displaying deep aromas of truffles and blackberries.
