Chateau Latour-Martillac

Classified Cru classé de Graves in 1953, Latour-Martillac owes its name to the tower that graces its courtyard, a relic of a small 12th century fort built by the celebrated ancestors of the local philosopher and winemaker by trade, Montesquieu. The prestige afforded these wines comes on account of the vineyard's geographical and pedological location: an exceptional brow of Pyrenees gravel soil, on which Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot are cultivated over 45 hectares, not forgetting the white grapes varietals of Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle, which make up the bulk of the grapes for the creation of dry white wines and harmonious reds which will improve with age. The Kressmann brothers, Tristan and Loïc, are passionate about this cru classé de Graves, which they run as a family business, guaranteeing delightful aromas, texture and flavour for wine-lovers the world over. The wines from the estate stand out by their elegance, finesse and tasteful indulgence.
