Poggio dei Gorleri : Peinetti 2012

The Poggio dei Gorleri Peinetti comes from the northwestern corner of Liguria in Ormeasco di Pornassio, in the Italian Alps. Wines here are made from the Dolcetto grape variety, also known here as Ormeasco, which is the source of the region's name. The Poggio dei Gorleri Peinetti is fermented on its skins for 10 days before spending eight months in stainless steel tanks. The wine shows an assertive character of the Ligurian terrior, characterized by a perfumed bouquet and sweet tannins. This light bodied red will pair well with a host of different springtime meals, from grilled chicken dishes to pasta primavera and fresh grilled vegetables. Enjoy this wine at room temperature or even slightly chilled.
