Paolo Bea is an artisanal producer from Montefalco, Umbria, with wine making roots going back as early as 1500. Harvesting from only 5 hectares of vineyards, they organically cultivate Sagrantino, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano. All the grapes are harvested manually without fining or filtration. The Paolo Bea Vigneto Cerrete Secco 2007 Montefalco Sagrantino is sourced from the high-altitude Cerrete vineyard. Made from pure Sagrantino, the Paolo Bea Vigneto Cerrete Secco 2007 displays ripe, luscious, intense black and blue fruits. Some air reveals exotic spice and saddle leather that keep evolving with time. The palate is filled with robust tannins and big juicy acidity balanced by a richness and depth that pair well with brisket or braised beef.
