Saint Véran is a small commune in the Mâconnais region. Chardonnay is the only grape variety used for the white wines. The vineyards of Saint Véran are planted predominantly in very stony, limestone soils. The resulting wine is very dry, delicate and youthful, pale straw-gold in color and with a subtle nutty flavor which lends the wine a soft roudness.
