Description
Named for the road that runs past Arianna Occhipinti’s home, the SP68 Rosso is a blend of 70% Frappato and 30% Nero d’Avola. The ten-year old vines are grown on red sand and chalk subsoil in the Vittoria region of Sicily, and the wine spends 30 days on its skins. Aged six months in stainless steel vats, followed by one month in bottle. This wine is organic and unfiltered.
Tasting notes: With bright aromatics of generous red fruit; raspberry, cherry with light spice and a hint of violet. Balanced mineral, fruit and spice on the palate. Perfect served slightly chilled with cured meat, pasta in tomato sauce, roasted or grilled meats.
