Description
Named for the road that runs past Arianna Occhipinti’s home, the SP68 Bianco is a blend of 50% Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria) and 50% Albanello from the Vittoria area of Sicily. Vines grow on sandy and limestone soils that are farmed organically. This wine spends 7 days on skins in stainless steel tank and then goes to concrete tanks.
Tasting notes: Bright and aromatic on the nose with notes of citrus blossoms, honeycomb, peaches and apricot. On the palate, a more savory expression, lead by rosewater, white pepper and savory herbs. Moderate acidity. Medium to long dry finish. Beautiful, well-structured wine.
