Description
Monte Antico (ancient mountain) comes from hillside vineyards on diverse soils in Tuscany ranging from 250 to 450 meters above sea level. It is a blend of 85% Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and is intended to maximize the expression of the territory in a glass of wine. Monte Antico was first released in 1977, and has been identified as a source of quality and reliability. The Monte Antico is vinified by winemaker Franco Bernabei in stainless steel tanks before being aged for one year in oak.
