Manincor : Reserve della Contessa 2014

The Manincor Reserve della Contessa comes from the Trentino-Alto Adige region in northeastern Italy. Two thirds of the grapes come from the Lieben Aich site at Terlan, at an altitude of 300 meters where the soils are made of sand with a bedrock of eroded porphyry. The rest are harvested from Kaltern Campan, an east facing vineyard at an altitude of 500 meters on the mountainside with soils rich of clay and morainal deposits. Composed of Pinot Blanc 60%, Chardonnay 30% and Sauvignon Blanc 10%, the Manincor Reserve della Contessa displays full yellow hues in the glass. A beautiful tapestry of apple, apricot and a hint of sage spring from the glass. The palate is tightly knit, elegant and mellow with a refreshing acidity on the finish. Enjoy with roasted fillet of salmon with an herb bread crumb topping, and white meats.
