Description
The first vintage of this cuvée - which benefits from the prestigious Sauternes appellation - dates from 1990. Originally, Denis Dubourdieu wanted to experiment the impact of the noble rot on a Sauvignon by pushing it to an extreme concentration. When the grapes were harvested, they were completely candied, and delivered a wine with an impressive sugar richness. L'Extravagant was born. The vintage 2014 impresses by its richness and opulence. The Extravagant 2014 is particularly expressive and reveals an intense, deep and extremely complex aromatic palette, dominated by white peach,guava juice and cooked pear notes. On the mouth, there is no doubt: the wine has an impressive concentration and sap, the whole gives a sensation of balance. This unctuous and aery wine closes by a long finish with mineral aromas. A beautiful work !
