Chateau Labégorce video

A real stone fortress built on the famous D2 road through the Médoc châteaux (at the Margaux exit), the Labégorce château displays its imposing, elegant and neoclassical architecture with pride and nobility. A direct product of the vineyards (70 hectares) and the vast estate (180 hectares), this cru wine has long possessed assets ensuring it is counted among the leading (unclassified) cru wines of the appellation. In 1989, the Perrodo family fell in love with the land and decided to rule over the destiny of this Margaux. In an aim to make pleasurable wines combining the typical smoothness and finesse of margaux wines with the complex assemblage of multiple grape varietals, they had to listen attentively to the terroir. Although the parcels consist mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes also make a delightful contribution. The result can be savoured in the château Labégorce with its second wine, Zède de Labégorce.Today, Nathalie Perrodo (owner) and Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck (General Manager) watch over the development and maintenance of this cru wine to ensure it remains among the top brands.
