Description
The label and name Amon-Ra by Glaetzer conjure up thoughts of Egyptian mythology. This was the intention of winemaker Ben Glaetzer who labeled the wine with the Egyptian symbol for protection. The figure, done in six parts, represents the six senses regarded by Eqyptians; sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, and thought. It is the aim of the Amon-Ra to evoke all six senses when you drink this wine. 2005 brought perfect growing conditions for this 100% Shiraz from Glaetzer. Sourced from 100-110 year old vines, this fruit driven and voluptuous wine is very enjoyable now yet still has the potential for another five-plus years of cellaring, especially in this large format magnum bottle.
