Description
The vineyards for Moreau’s village level Chablis are located on the left bank of the Serein River, with a south-southeast exposure. The soil is Kimmeridgian calcareous clay, deposited from the Upper Jurrassic Era with Chardonnay vines planted 47 years ago. The grapes are hand-harvested, and sorted with the utmost attention and respect.
Tasting Notes: The 2014 vintage was a ripe, yet bone dry expression of Chablis, with crisp green apple, mineral, and a touch of salinity. A versatile and affordable wine, this entry level Chablis made of 100% Chardonnay, is bright and crisp, with the precision and harmony that rests at the core of the identity of Christian Moreau’s wines.
