Description
The Damiano Ciolli Silene comes from the Cesanese di Olevano Romano DOC, located in the Lazio wine region of western Italy. With vineyards located on steep hillsides of volcanic origin, the Ciolli family have been growing Cesanese for five generations. The Damiano Ciolli Silene is the estate's regular cuvee, from vineyards planted in 1981 and 2002. Made from 100% Cesanese, the Damiano Ciolli Silene displays pleasant red berries, herbs and earth of the nose. The palate is crisp and lean, balanced with silky tannin- enjoy this wine with porchetta or abbacchio.
